THE ANCIENT TAOIST PRINCIPLE OF RECIPROCITY
IF YOU DO ME A FAVOR, I WILL RETURN A GREATER FAVOR TO YOU BUT IF YOU HURT ME, I WILL NOT OFFER THE OTHER CHEEK. IF YOU INSULT ME, I WILL PUNCH YOU; IF YOU PUNCH ME, I WILL BREAK YOUR ARM; IF YOU BREAK MY ARM, I WILL BREAK YOUR LEG; AND IF YOU BREAK MY LEG, I WILL PUT YOU IN A COFFIN

If You can read Chinese Characters, You will notice "麒麟" (Qi Lin, also spelled as kyrin or kirin in Japanese) written on the talisman. It is actually, a talisman to invoke the Qi-Lin, a devine creature, to come forward for assistance.

The Qi-Lin (kirin or kylin) is one of the “Four Divine Creatures” (四灵兽) that are often mentioned in ancient Chinese texts. The other three are the Phoenix, Turtle and Dragon. The mythical Qi-Lin is an oxen-hooved animal with a dragon-like head surmounted by a pair of deer’s antlers and flame-like head ornaments. It has the scales of a snake and a hairy and curly tail.

Qi-Lin appears only during the reign of an outstanding ruler or when a great sage is born or dies. Legends tell that the Qilin has appeared during the reigns of the legendary rulers, who were morally upright and benevolent, such as Fu Xi ( 伏羲), Huangdi (黄帝), Yao (尧) and Shun (舜).

The birth of the great sage Confucius was foretold by the arrival of a Qi-Lin.

A Qi-Lin, with a scroll in its mouth, appeared in the courtyard of his parents’ home. The scroll is called yu-shu (玉书 ), and had some words written on it (麒麟吐玉书).

The scroll served as an announcement of the will of Heaven. It disclosed that the baby to be born is going to be “a man of extraordinary good moral character and talent, an exemplar of human excellences.

Although he is not on the throne, he has the virtue of a king. During the weak Eastern Zhou rule, he can possibly be “Su Wang”, an uncrowned king. (Original text:

On the same night of this happening, Confucius was born. The kirin was credited with bestowing Confucius to his parents, who have been longing for a son.

Hence, the belief “Kirin can deliver a child” . In ancient days, a male child was often called “Qi-Lin son” (麒麟儿 or 麟儿). The word Qi-Lin is also used to describe a brilliantly talented person.

In Feng Shui, it symbolizes joy, wisdom, magnificence, celebration, long life and famous children. A Qi-Lin Figurine / Statue  or a Qi-Lin Talisman is to help facilitate the success of children in their studies and grow up to be a Somebody.

The White Lotus Sect ( Bai Lian Jiao

The White Lotus Sect (Bai Lian Jiao 白莲教) was a millenarian movement with Buddhist traditions that several times in history ignited large-scale popular uprisings against the ruling dynasties. The religious background of the White Lotus Sect goes back to the Pure Land School (Jing Tu Zong - 净土宗) whose oldest patriarch, Huiyuan 慧远 (334-416 CE), founded White Lotus Societies (Bai Lian She 白莲社 or Lian She 莲社 "Lotus Societies") in Donglin Monastery 东林寺 near Mt. Lushan 庐山.

During the Northern Song Period 北宋 (960-1126), White Lotus societies spread all over Southern China. They were supported by monasteries as well as by rich landowners. In the mid-12th century, the monk Ci-Zhao 慈照 (worldly name Mao Ziyuan 茅子元) founded a new Buddhist School out of these societies, the White Lotus School (Bai Lian Zong 白莲宗). The adherents of this school venerated the Amitabha Buddha 阿弥陀佛 and observed the Five Buddhist Precepts (Wu-Jie 五戒) that were also a focal point of the Pure Land teaching.

Mao Ziyuan also adopted the method of the Tiantai School 天台宗 to illustrate the teachings of the Buddha by drawings and pictures, which made it much easier to attract a wider followership. He also compiled confessional rules for daily worship, the Bai Lian Chen Chao Chan Yi In order to connect the scattered Lotus Societies, he erected a Lotus Repentance Temple (Lianchantang 莲忏堂) on the shores of Lake Dinghshan 淀山湖, near Kunshan 昆山, Jiangsu, adopted the title of Master (daoshi 导师) and assembled an auditorium to which he preached the teachings of the White Lotus School.

The newly founded White Lotus School was officially forbidden, and Mao Ziyuan had to leave Kunshan for Jiujiang 九江, Jiangsi. Yet, because the teachings of his school were quite simple and easy to understand, the White Lotus Sect ("sect" in the sense of not being an officially acknowledged confession) attracted a lot of adherents not only in the Lower Yangtse region, but also in other parts of China.

When the Mongols founded the Yuan dynasty 元 (1279-1368), the White Lotus School was officially acknowledged and even sponsored by the government. It therefore became such an important branch of Buddhism that some believers even participated in the propagation of the faith as "Lotus people" (Lian Dao Ren 莲道人) in private temples at home (tang'an 堂庵). Because they retained the everyday clothes and did not shave their heads, they were also called "Monks With Hairs" (Fa Seng 发僧). Their private temples became such important clerical institutions that sons commonly inherited their father's duty of managing these semi-public prayer halls.

The most popular deities were the Amitabha Buddha, the Guanyin Bodhisattva, and the Da-Shi-Zhi 大势至 (Mahasthamaprapta) (together called the Three Amida Saints 弥陀三圣). The adherents prayed for health and fortune, and rich believers sponsored the building of official institutions like streets, bridges or temples. The owners of private temples often belonged to the most wealthy families in the cities and had close ties to the government.

In the course of time the teachings of Mao Ziyuan changed somewhat, especially among the common populace that developed their own ideas of the White Lotus religion. It was a very popular belief that the Amitabha Buddha would descend from Heaven as a redeemer of mankind. Adherents of this millenarian branch of the White Lotus School assembled at night and soon began to rise weapons against the Yuan dynasty in order to hasten the advent of the Amitabha Buddha or the Bodhisattva Maitreya 弥勒佛.

Coming Of The Mi Le Fo 弥勒佛 (Maitreya) Scriptures

Therefore in 1308, the Yuan court prohibited the White Lotus School in total and was only allowed open confession again a few years later. In 1322, it was declared illegal again because more and more White Lotus groups had begun to fight openly against local governments. The most important leaders of White Lotus rebel groups were Han Shantong 韩山童, Liu Futong 刘福通, Xu Shouhui 徐寿辉 and Zou Pusheng 邹普胜. Their adherents fought to topple the Yuan dynasty and to welcome the "King of Brilliance" (mingwang 明王), i.e. the Maitreya Boddhisattva. The White Lotus groups constituted indeed an important reason for the downfall of the Yuan dynasty.

Based on this experience, the White Lotus School was prohibited under the Ming Dynasty 明 (1368-1644), and for good reasons, because the foundation of the new dynasty was no reason to cease belief in the advent of a redeemer deity. During the early Ming period, White Lotus uprisings in all provinces were successfully put down. The various secret White Lotus societies later changed their names and were not easily recognized as White Lotus offsprings. They adopted names like "teaching" of the:

Jinchan 金禅教 "Golden Zen"
Wuwei 无为教 "Non-activity"
Longhua 龙华教 "Flower of the Dragon"
Wukong 悟空教 "Aware of the Voidness"
Huanyuan 还源教 "Back to the Origin"
Yuandun 圆顿教 "Yuan Dun"
Hongyang 弘阳教 "Vast Yang"
Mi-Le 弥勒教 "Maitreya"
Jingkong 淨空教 "Pure Voidness
Dacheng 大成教 "Great Completeness"
Sanjiao 三阳教 "Three Yang"
Hunyuan 混源教 "Origin of the Primordial Chaos"
Wenxiang 闻香教 "Sensing the perfume"
Luodao 罗道教 "Arhat Way"

Because they were not allowed to establish a central authority, their rituals and services differed from each other, as well as the central deities venerated by the adherents, albeit the most important deity for most White Lotus sects was the Maitreya.

During the Zheng-De's (正德) reign, a new deity appeared among White Lotus adherents, namely the Wu Sheng Lao Mu 无生老母 "Birthless Old Mother", that was seen as a form of transcendent Buddha that never incarnated but ever existed without coming into being or transforming into a non-being form. She would nevertheless come down upon earth in the human shape of children, would protect them from harm and guide them safely back to Heaven, the "Home Of True Voidness" (Zhen Kong Jia Xiang 真空家乡). The different schools also used different writings to propagate their faith.

The behaviour of these various groups toward the government was therefore also not stringent. While some cooperated as normal religious institutions, others were openly opposed towards the local government. The adherents of the latter groups came mainly from the lower strata of society, like landless peasants or unemployed persons. In 1420, Tang Sai'er 唐赛儿 rebelled against the Ming government and in 1622, Xu Hong Ru 徐鸿儒.

The most important White Lotus sect during the late Ming period was the Wen Xiang School (also called Da Cheng School 大乘教 (Mahayana)) that had been founded by Wang Sen 王森 and Wang Haoxian 王好贤 in Luanzhou 滦州. They managed to attract the support even of more wealthy people so that they were able to purchase large tracts of land and acted as employer to peasants and workers.

During the Qing period 清 (1644-1911), the situation got even more aggravated. There were more than one hundred various branches of the White Lotus school. In 1774, the White Lotus leader of the Qingshui Sect 清水教 (Pure Water Sect), Wang Lun 王伦, rose in rebellion in the province of Shandong. Between 1796 and 1804, the heretic Lotus societies in the border region of the provinces Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu aroused a protracted local war against the Qing authorities. This was the first large-scale popular uprising that initiated the downfall of the Qing dynasty, although this had in many cases not been the main objective of the rebellions.

In 1813, the Tian Li Sect  天理教 - "Heavenly Order", under Li Wencheng 李文成, disturbed the local governments in northern China. Only in the second half of the 19th century, the leaders of White Lotus groups adopted political plans.

The White Lotus Rebellion 1796-1804

In the deeply forested border area between the provinces Hubei, Sichuan and Shaanxi, a lot of homeless "wandering" people (Liu-Min 流民) had gathered to escape the grip of landowners, creditors and tax collectors. Until 1772 and 1773, already several hundred thousand persons belonged to these outlaws, and numbers constantly rose by immigrants from the provinces of Henan, Anhui and Jiangxi.

In the bad climate of the region, which made agriculture a scarcely profitable business, the inhabitants made their living by working in the land clearing business, in the paper industry, or in the smithy business. Under such hard conditions, a lot of people resorted to the harbour of religion and became followers of the many secret White Lotus Societies. A saviour deity that only required people living in a modest and cooperative way with each other (sharing income, sharing food, mutual support in case of need) provided a strong appeal for the White Lotus leaders.

The first leader proclaiming the coming of a new age was Fan Ming De 樊明德 in Henan. Liu Song 刘松, Liu Zhi Xie 刘之协 and Song Zhi Qing 宋之清 in Hebei, Sichuan and Anhui even prognosticated the return of the Ming dynasty (they used the character code Niu-Ba 牛八 for the character of the surname of the Ming rulers, Zhu 朱). In 1795, a collective uprising was carefully planned, and groups willing to participate were equipped with swords and gunpowder. The local government instantly took harsh measures to catch and arrest all adherents of the White Lotus societies and thereby even intensified the resistance of the White Lotus leaders against government and dynasty.

In February 1796, Zhang Zhengmo 张正谟 and Nie Jieren 聂杰人 rose in rebellion in the region of Yidu 宜都 and Zhijiang 枝江 in Hubei. A month later Wang Conger 王聪儿 and Yao Zhifu 姚之富 rebelled in the region of Xiangyang 襄阳. The various rebel groups did not cooperate with each other but fought for themselves, barricaded behind timber palisades or fortified villages to resist the local gendarms. Only the troops of the Xiangyang rebels were able to build up a large army that was able to challenge the Qing troops in the field. Half a year later White Lotus groups in Sichuan joined the rebellion under the leadership of Xu Tiande 徐添德 in Dazhou 达州 and Wang Sanhuai 王三槐 and Leng Tianlu 冷天禄 in Dongxiang 东乡 (modern Xuanhan 宣汉).

In February 1797, the rebel armies of Hubei spread out and looted all the region and began wandering to the neighbouring provinces. The regular Qing troops were only able to persue them and was not able to root out any base of the locust-like White Lotus army. In July the Qing finally managed to encircle the rebel base in Sichuan, so that the Hubei rebels approached for relief. Although Wang Conger was talented enough to build up effectively brigades under different commanders, his soldiers were not able to cooperate with each other, so that each company after the other was repelled and disintegrated.

In March 1798, the Hubei rebels were trapped by the Qing army near Yunxi 郧西, and its leaders died. The Sichuan rebels likewise had suffered great losses. Yet the files of the rebels were constantly filled with new recruits, and the local population supported the insurgents, provided them with food and gunpowder, carried their supplies and scouted them through the mountain hills. In the early year of 1800 the rebels were nevertheless again defeated near Jiangyou 江油 in Sichuan.

The Qing generals had adopted a new method to cut the rebels off their supplies of material and recruits. The government had built palisades for villages and forcibly settled down the peasants of the hilly lands into these defense compounds (zhaibao 寨堡, cunluo 村落). All economic activities were to take place within these compounds. At the same time, village militia were recruited and trained to fight against White Lotus "bandits". These measures helped to deprived the White Lotus rebels of food and supplies and took them away the necessary manpower to staff their army. The Qing army step by step encircled the last rebel groups in the triangle of the provinces Hubei, Sichuan and Shaanxi, where the rebellion had begun. In late 1804 the war against the White Lotus heretics could be declared as terminated.

The nine years long White Lotus war had devastated a large number of districts in Central China. It had cost the lives of countless civilians and regular troops, including more than 400 high officers, and consumed more than 200 million liang (Taels) of silver, which corresponded to four times the annual revenues of the state treasury. It had proved the inability of the Qing government to cope effectfully with large-scale popular uprisings and the wide-spread corruption among both the civilian government and the military establishment.

The Heavenly Order Society

The Heavenly Order Society was one of the few White Lotus movement of late imperial China that managed to associate different groups into one. It came into being by the cooperation of the Bagua sect 八卦教 "Eight Trigrams" (also called Jiugong sect 九宫教 "Nine Palaces"), the Ronghua Society 荣华会, and the Baiyang 白阳教, Hongyang 红阳教 and Qingyang 青阳教 sects. The most important leaders of this new united groups were Li Wencheng 李文成 and Feng Keshan 冯克善 from Henan and Lin Qing 林清 from Daxing 大兴 near Beijing.

The society war organised in eight groups (corresponding to the eight trigrams). The mainly used scripture of the adherents was the San Fo Ying Iie Tong Guan Tong Shu 三佛应劫统观通书, and they venerated the Birthless Old Mother, but also the sun. They believed in the three progressive eons (sanji 三际), calling the past "dimension-less extreme" (wuji 无极), the present the "greatest extreme" (taiji 太极), and the future "sovereign extreme" (huangji 皇极), but also prognosticated the decline of the Red Sun (hongyang 红阳) and the ascent of the White Sun (baiyang 白阳), thus favouring the rise of a new dynasty.

In 1813, the Heavenly Order Society rose in rebellion against the Qing dynasty and devastated the provinces of Henan, Shandong and Zhili. Some groups even invaded the Imperial City.

Grand Master of Modern Liu Ren Lineage - Li Chun Feng

Li Chun Feng (李淳风) was a real historical figure recorded in Ancient Chinese History.

Disciples of Modern Liu Ren Lineage (新六壬派) of today worshipped him as the 'Grand Master of Liu Ren'(六壬仙师), especially in Hong Kong.

As for the Ancient Liu Ren Lineage (古六壬派), it was being pass-down by Li Chun Feng's Father - Old Master Li Bo (李播), aka Taoist Priest Huang Guan Zi (黄冠子), to him ( Li Chun Feng (李淳风) ) & Disciple Yuan Tian Gang (袁天罡).

Li Chun Feng's hometown was Shan Xi Province, Feng Xiang County He was a Minister of the founding Tang Dynasty Court. He was born around 604 AD and rose to heaven in 672 AD.

Li Chun Feng is well known till today for his contributions to Astronomy, Mathematics and Meteorology.

Li Chung Feng's father was Li Bo (李播), who was a local magistrate, who later gave up his post to be a Taoist Priest (Priest Huang Guan Zi 黄冠子). Li Chun Feng received his early Taoist education at a young age.

During 633AD, Li Chun-feng (李淳風) had invented a Celestial Globe with three spherical layers to calibrate multiple aspects of astronomical observations.

Li Chun Feng had designed the best augural tool known as Qia-Gua (掐卦). QIAGUA in Chinese means using the fingers to divine the future. In practice, people normally use the left hand. The thumb is used to count the lunar month, day, and time of the day, started from the base segment of the index finger, one after the other clockwise. It worked more than a thousand years among countless Chinese people. From emperors and generals directing battles to ordinary people living their daily life, QIAGUA has provided directions, confidences, and inspirations. In ancient China, the army general would use “QIAGUA” to predict the battle outcome by using his left hand. Once counting stopped, he already knew the battle result.

He had modified and corrected the Lunar Calendar, invented Astronomical equipment and compiled a text on Divination called the Yi Shi Zhan(乙巳占). It is an important text in Chinese Divination and it also includes other important studies on Astronomy and Meteorology.

He was the first person in history who put a scale to indicate wind force from 1 to 8, a thousand years before Francis Beaufort (27 May 1774 – 17 December 1857) who put a scale to indicate wind force up to 12.

Another famous piece of work that he complied with another leading Taoist Priest of that time Yuan Tian Gang(袁天罡) was name Tui bei tu (推背图). It is a Chinese book on prophecies made out of 60 pictures accompanied with a poem deciphering. It's accuracy has been proven many times throughout Chinese History. It has also been widely compared to the works of famous western prophet, Nostradamus (14 or 21 December 1503 – 2 July 1566).

According to historical records, He played an instrumental role in helping remove the tyrant Yang Guang (杨广) of the Sui Dynasty from power and aided the Li family found the Tang Dynasty. He held the post of Chief Astronomer of the Royal Court (In those days its equal the personal adviser of the Emperor as many decisions made in court were based on the movement of the cosmos) He also held many other posts in the Royal court of Tang Dynasty Emperor Li Shi Min(李世民). During his days as a courtier, Li Shi Min consulted him intensely on the matters of the court and nation.

After bidding farewell to his governmental duties, he went into self seclusion and created his own Taoist Sect the Liu Ren Sect. After his passing, his disciples conferred upon him the title of 'Grand Master of Liu Ren' and continued to pass on his teachings till this day in the form of Mediation, Talisman Drawing, Rituals, and Chants with the goal of aiding people in need.

Important Notes:

Modern Liu Ren Lineage -

In Ming Dynasty, the Chaotic Period of Mixing Religions and Fighting for gaining the Fame of Religious Leaders, the Folks Groups tend to import Deities & Immortals into their Religions in-order to gain more Followers' Support. Master Jin Ying (金英祖师) was one of them.

After Importing Master Jin Ying into the Group, the Folks Groups claimed that they are the Branch-out of Quan Zhen Sect (叁教全真道) - a Sect that Promotes the Combination of Three Religions' Teaching. From then, most of the Folks Groups used the Reputation of Three Religions to do Promotion of their Culture.

In Late Ming Dynasty (明朝末年), after the Three Religions' Groups started to get more Popular, some Spiritual Teachers started to import the Ancient Liu Ren Sect (古六壬派) into the New Created Liu Ren Sect (新六壬派 which most of the Liu Ren Sect Groups that we can found in Today are from that Period).

And in-order to gain the Supports from the Followers of Master Jin Ying, Master Jin Ying ( was being imported and was made as the Main Spiritual Deity of the Modern Liu Ren Sect.

Take Note:

Only those who still followed the Teaching of Li Chun Feng & Yuan Tian Gang are known as the Official Taoist Liu Ren Students, other then that, the Modern Liu Ren Students' Spiritual Master will be Master Jin Ying (金英祖师) or Master Li Chun Feng (李淳风).

Now, most of the Hong Kong Liu Ren disciples only know abt Li Chun Feng (李淳风) and totally forget about Li Bo (李播) and Yuan Tian Gang  (袁天罡) .  Liu Ren Skills need Yuan Tian Gang's Sets of Liu Ren Knowledge and  combined with Li Chun Feng's Sets of Liu Ren Knowledge, which then can be considered Full Set of Liu Ren Skills.

Origin of the Real Liu Ren Sect - Shang Qing Liu Ren Sect (上清六壬法门) or Old Liu Ren Sect (古六壬派)

Founder of Old (Or Original Liu Ren) Sect - Li Bo (李播)
Three Liu Ren Branches:
Feng Huo Yuan (风火院)
Qun Ying Guan (群英馆)
Fu Ying Guan (伏英馆)

Master Li Bo (李播) aka Priest Huang Guan Zi (黄冠子), born in AD 552 during Sui Dynasty 隋朝), Date of Birth unknown. Hometown in China Shan Xi Province, Feng Xiang County

Since young, Li Bo had been studying Taoist Scriptures, Prediction Methods & Spiritual Skills. At the age of 20 (AD 572), Li Bo decided to leave home to seek for proper Taoist Training. After doing researches & asking, Li Bo finally decided to enroll into Shang Qing Mao Shan Taoist School (上清茅山道宗) to do his training & study.

Upon reaching the Main Ancestral School of Shang Qing Sect, Li Bo was taken in by High Priest Zheng Si Yuan (上清祖师郑思远) as Disciple.

By the age of 32 (AD 584), Li Bo mastered almost all the Taoist Skills that High Priest Zheng had imparted to him. On 15th Day of Lunar 9 Month, High Priest Zheng called upon Li Bo to his Preaching Hall and advised him to go back to his hometown.

Upon hearing that, Li Bo was shocked & sad, assuming that he was being expelled by his Master, but after High Priest Zheng explained to him that, he got other tasks awaiting for him to settle in his hometown. After then, Li Bo finally understand and with some simple packing, Li Bo reluctantly bid farewell to his Master and left Mao Shan.

After leaving Mao Shan, Li Bo didnt go back to his hometown immediately but travelling around to do his Field-study and hoping to gain experiences from his observations. During this period, Li Bo composed quite a number of Poems & Songs and most of his Articles were being pass-down (now in some of the Chinese Museum, his Poems & Songs can still be seen).

AD 588, due to his Articles & Poems getting more popular, Li Bo was being summoned by the Sui Emperor to the Imperial Court. After the meeting up with the Sui Emperor, Li Bo was given a post to assist the Sui Emperor in doing planning & strategies.

On the following year (AD 589), while Li Bo was practising his Spiritual Skills of Observing the Stars, he found out that Sui Empire would be destroyed in another few years and so, he decided to resign from his post. Soon, his resignation was being granted and Li Bo gained back his freedom as a Wandering Priest again.

After he was being released from the Sui Empire, Li Bo began his Travelling again.

By the time he returned to his hometown, Li Bo was already 40 years old (AD 592), by then, his parent had already match-made a Lady for him as the Wife. On the 3rd year of his marriage (AD 595), Li Bo got his 1st son and he chosen a Name, using his Prediction Skills, as Li Chun Luo (李淳洛).

At the age of 45 (AD 597), Li Bo's wife gave birth to the 2nd son and the child was given the name of Li Chun Pu (李淳浦).

In AD 602, just before his 3rd Son was being born, Li Bo got a dream Tai Shang Lao Jun aka The Supreme Lord (太上老君) passing a set of Scriptures to Jiu Tian Xuan Nv aka The Ninth Heaven Maiden (九天玄女) in a Celestial Palace. After Ninth Heaven Maiden got the Scriptures, Li Bo was being asked to step forward to receive the Scriptures. Just as the moment of Li Bo receiving the Scriptures, a strong aroma of Sandal-wood fragrance entered into his nose and he was being woken-up by a Maid telling him that his Wife had given birth to the 3rd Son.

With joyous, Li Bo dashed to his Wife's Room and just as he was about to step into the Room, Li Bo started to smell the fragrance of the Sandal-wood again. This time round, he told himself that, he must had got a Spiritual Child that being given to him by the Heaven.

Upon entering into the Room, Li Bo was delighted to see his 3rd Son being born with a extraordinary face (looking like an Immortal), immediately, Li Bo used his Prediction Skills to choose a name for his 3rd Son and the Child was given the name of Li Chun Feng (李淳风).

After returning to his room, Li Bo was shocked to see a stack of Scriptures being placed on his study table. Upon opening, he was amazed by the cover-page of the Scriptures, cos these Scriptures were those he saw in his dream. After going thru the Scriptures, he realised that ALL the Skills recorded in the Scriptures were known as Liu Ren Skills (六壬法门) and from then, he started his Indepth study on the Scriptures and hoping that one day, he & his descendants could bring pride to the Heavenly's Gift.

In AD 603, Li Bo got another Son which was known as Li Chun Xue (李淳雪). By then, Li Bo was already 51 years old.

AD 620, Li Bo was being summoned by the 1st Emperor of Tang Dynasty - Li Yuan (唐高祖李渊), to the Imperial Court. After the meeting up with Emperor Li Yuan, Li Bo was being appointed as the Officer of Prediction (司天监).

During this Period, Li Bo was being high respect by Li Shi Min (李世民), the 2nd Son of Emperor Li Yuan.

Soon after Li Yuan pass-on, Li Shi Min became the 2nd Emperor of the Tang Empire, by then, Li Bo had reached an age of 75 years old, he decided to return to his hometown and just before Li Bo returned home, he recommended his 3rd Son - Li Chun Feng (李淳风) & his Eldest Disciple - Yuan Tian Gang (袁天罡), to assist Emperor Li Shi Min in the Prediction & Strategies Planning (cos only Li Chun Feng & Yuan Tian Gang were being imparted the full set of Liu Ren Skills).

Upon returning to his hometown, Li Bo started to do his cultivation on the Liu Ren Skills again. Due to he knew that his Lifespan was getting to an end, he decided to impart the reminding Liu Ren Skills to his other 3 sons. And so at the age of 90, he set-up 3 branches for his 3 sons. These 3 branches were Feng Huo Yuan (风火院), Qun Ying Guan (群英馆) & Fu Ying Guan (伏英馆).

After setting up the 3 branches, he wrote a Letter to Li Chun Feng & Yuan Tian Gang to look after these branches, in-order not to let the Disciples of the 3 other sons to fight against each other for the gaining of the Leadership Throne.

At the age of 109, Li Bo got his Immortal-hood and from then, Li Chun Feng & Yuan Tian Gang were being appointed as the 2nd Generation Leadership of Liu Ren Sect.

Important Note: Due to alot of misconceptions mis-leading information, the Actual Teaching of Liu Ren Sect was being distorted and used in an astray-method. Till today, alot of People who are undergoing the Training of Liu Ren Sect still do not know who is the Official Founder of the Sect, which is really a miserable thing to know.

Important Notes:

Modern Liu Ren Lineage (新六壬派)

3) In Late Ming Dynasty (明朝末年), after the Three Religions' Groups started to get more Popular, some Spiritual Teachers started to import the Ancient Liu Ren Sect (古六壬派) into the New Created Liu Ren Sect (新六壬派 which most of the Liu Ren Sect Groups that we can found in Today are from that Period).

And in-order to gain the Supports from the Followers of Master Jin Ying, Master Jin Ying ( was being imported and was made as the Main Spiritual Deity of the Modern Liu Ren Sect.

Take Note:
Ancient Liu Ren Sect does not involved in Mediumship, Summoning of Spirits, Catching of Ghosts, Playing of Sharp-objects, Issuing of Wealth-Talismans or Combining of another forms of Teaching from any other Religions.

Jin Ying Sect (金英教派)

Brief Introduction to Jing Ying Sect / Kim Eng Pai

Master Jin Ying aka Jin Ying Zu Shi (金英祖师), actual name known as Lin Jin Ying (林金英), born in Ming Dynasty (生于明朝), 24th Day of Lunar 11 Month (农历十一月廿四日). Hometown in China Jiang Su Province, Xu Zhou City Dong Shan County

According to records, on the Day of Jin Ying's Birth, the neighbours saw a Big & Bright-color Eagle flying around in the mid-air above Jin Ying's home. After awhile, Jin Ying was born and at the moment of his born, the House was filled with a Nice Fragrance of Sandal-wood. With the sighting of an Eagle and the smelling of Fragrance, Jin Ying's Parent knew that this Baby was not "Normal" and so, Jin Ying's Father gave the Baby the name of "Jin Ying" - meaning the Golden Eagle (even though the Ying is not the Character for Eagle 鹰).

3 Days after the Birth of Jin Ying, a Taoist Priest arrived at the House of Jin Ying. Due to Mrs Lin was doing her confinement, so that Mr Lin had to attend to the arrival of the Priest. After entering in the House, Jin Ying started to cry out loud. Upon hearing the crying, the Priest knodded his head and request Mr Lin whether he could take a look at the Baby.

Mr Lin was more than happy to bring the Baby out and after a look at Jin Ying, the Priest recited a Poem. Upon the completion of the recitation, Jin Ying stopped crying and stare at the Priest and out of sudden, Jin Ying called out 2 words - Shi Fu (师父), meaning Master.

Mr Lin was shocked and with immediate action, he kneeled down infront of the Priest and asked why Jin Ying was able to speak, which he was only born 3 Days again.

Upon hearing that, the Priest sincerely asked Mr Lin to stand-up and told him, Jin Ying was actually an Immortal who vowed to return back to the Mortal Realm to perform his Cultivation Tasks. After checking on the Credits & Merits of the Lin Family, Jin Ying decided to get his Manifestation in the Lin Family.

Hearing that, Mr Lin was delighted and faithfully requested the Priest to accept Jin Ying as the Disciple in-order to assist him in accomplished the Cultivation Task. The Priest smiled and accepted the request. From then, the Priest stayed in the House to impart the Taoist Skills to Jin Ying.

At the age of 3 Years Old, Jin Ying was able to chant & recite most of the Taoist Scriptures & Mantras.

By the age of 5, with the Recommendation of the Priest, Jin Ying went to Hokkien Province Nan An City (南安市) to seek other Spiritual Skills from another Taoist Priest. Upon reaching, Jin Ying's Master made a depart with him and advised him that, soon they were meet again in another Special Venue. Knowing that his Master was going to leave him, Jin Ying felt very upset and started to cry infront of the Priest. Just before the Tears roll down, his Master told him, as a Taoist, you shall only Cried for the Sufferings, Cried for the Needy, not to cry for such Issues. As a Taoist, Compassionate shall be dedicated to the Big Group and not to Ownself.

After getting the Lecturing, Jin Ying reluntantly made 3 Kowtows to the Priest and with a gust of Fume, the Priest ascended into the Air and just as Jin Ying was about to call out to his Master, the Priest asked Jin Ying to remember his Taoist Title - Bi Xu Shang Jing Tai Yi Zhen Ren

Immediately after Jin Ying departed with his Master, the other Priest came forward to lead Jin Ying to the Cultivation Venue. Soon, Jin Ying started his other Cultivation in Nan An City.

At the age of 7, the Nan An Priest told Jin Ying that he had completed whatever he needed to learn and its time for him to return back to his hometown. Upon hearing that, Jin Ying was happy and again upset due to the departure. Before Jin Ying set-off for his journey, the Nan An Priest passed Jin Ying a Waist-bag with 12 Talismans (十二道符) and advised him to use the 1st Piece after he returned back. Jin Ying was about to ask why, but with a gust of Fume, the Nan An Priest disappeared infront of him. With no choices, Jin Ying had to leave the place with Doubts.

Within a Month, Jin Ying reached his hometown in Jiang Su Province, but to his horror, the Village that he stay-in was seriously infected with Strange-sickness. With no hesitation, Jin Ying took out the Talisman that his 2nd Master gave him and burnt it.

Soon after the Burning of the Talisman, the Cloud above him turned Dark and within moments, Thunder Roar and Rain started to pour. As the Rain was pouring, a strong Fragrance of Herbs was being emitted from the Rain and the Fragrance started to flow around the whole Village.

About 15 Minutes (一刻钟), the Rain stopped and just at the same moment, All the Villagers were cured and able to walk out from their Home to the Street. Knowing that the Villagers were cured by the Talisman, Jin Ying kneel-down and made his Kowtows to the Heaven and sincerely Thanks his 2 Masters.

At the age of 8, in the Morning of 5th Day of Lunar 3 Month (得道日为农历叁月初五日), a Golden Brightness was shined onto the Roof-top of Jin Ying's House. After a while, the Villagers saw Jin Ying slowly ascended into the Air thru the Golden Brightness. Just as the moment when Jin Ying's Parent ran out from the House, Jin Ying made a smile and waved to his Parent and the other Villagers, telling them that he had to return to the Celestial Palace (天庭) to meet up with his Masters.

Due to Jin Ying ever saved the Villagers's Life, they were happy and upset for Jin Ying to leave them at such a Young Age. Within moments, Jin Ying disappeared in the Air and only left a Red-light Spot above the Village.

From then, the Villagers built Temple dedicated to Jin Ying. Till today, in Jiang Su Province & Nan An City, you are still able to see Temples dedicated to Master Jin Ying.

Because of the age when Master Jin Ying got his Enlightenment, most of the Statues that the Taoists or Chinese dedicated to him are in Young-boy form. And due to the appearance, alot of Folks tend to mistaken him as Na Zha (哪咤), the Son of Pagoda King Li Jing (托塔天王李靖).

In Taoist Lv Shan Sect (道教闾山派), Master Jin Ying is also known as Xue Shang Sheng Zhe (雪山圣者).

In Qing Dynasty (清朝年间), a Hakka Clan Priest (广东博罗县罗浮山客籍道士) known as Lin Xian Jiang (林显江) used the Name of Master Jin Ying to set up Jin Ying Sect (金英教). From then, Jin Ying Sect was being pass-down till today. Due to Priest Lin Xian Jiang was a Priest who mastered Talisman Skills from the various Taoist & Spiritual Groups, after he founded Jin Ying Sect, he merged most of the Talisman Skills into One, which was known as Jin Ying Spiritual Skill.

From then, most of the Folks Groups used the Reputation of Three Religions to do Promotion of their Culture.

And in-order to gain the Supports from the Followers of Master Jin Ying, Master Jin Ying was being imported and was made as the Main Spiritual Deity of the Modern Liu Ren Sect.

Note:
Ancient Liu Ren Sect does not involved in Mediumship, Summoning of Spirits, Catching of Ghosts, Playing of Sharp-objects, Issuing of Wealth-Talismans or Combining of another forms of Teaching from any other Religions.

Ancient Liu Ren Sect was being pass-down by Old Master Li Bo (李播) aka Taoist Priest Huang Guan Zi (黄冠子) to his son Li Chun Feng (李淳风) & Disciple Yuan Tian Gang (袁天罡).

Let's face the truth..
To a salesman or businessman, even Your product or service is the best of the best and cheapest of the cheapest in the market, but whether a potential customer or client will end up buying from You or engage the service from You, will also depend on the feeling he/she has on You. If You always project a negative aura, anybody comes close to You will automatically dislike You, without any valid reason. This is why Your business or sales are terrible.

Then again..
Ever been to a shop or service center, the boss or person-in-charge always able to project a kind of positive aura, which somehow attracts You to him /her. Even his or her product or service is much more expensive than other places, but You are ready and willingly want to pay the higher price to buy his product or engage his/her service.

Now Imagine..
What if You are able to charm anyone even before You open Your mouth, anytime anywhere, be it potential customer/client or meeting up new friends and girlfriends or during all kinds of social gathering..

And again..
Even You think You are not Pretty or Handsome, when You walk into a social function full of new people, they immediately take notice of You and start to smile and greet You and find their way to chat You up.

You never learn this in School and Seminar..
To the Western Folks and also the English Educated Chinese,  they will never learn anything about ATTRACTION IN AURA LEVEL. Many adults pay expensive fee to attend "How To Win Friends and Influence People"Seminar , "How To Increase Sales" Seminars etc and then follow the exact steps told by the Gurus..  but later still fail miserably. No attraction and No sales..

The actual name for this Talisman is 茅山素女符 ( Sù Nǚ Talisman of Mao Shan Sect). - Sù Nǚ - Pronounce as "Su-Nuee".

This "Ultimate Opposite Sex Attraction" Talisman is suitable to be carried by Males and Females.

THIS TALISMAN  CALL UPON THE SPIRITUAL POWER OF TAOIST SEX GODDESS - 素女 ( Sù Nǚ )

The "Ultimate Opposite Sex Attraction" Talisman shown in the picture do not yet include the Taoist Seals (or Taoist Stamps) so as  to give You a better view of the Talisman by itself. The complete version of the Talisman includes the Taoist Seals.

To a Chinese, who can read Chinese Characters, will notice the 2 Chinese Characters - 素女 ( Sù Nǚ ). If You have read up the History Of Yellow Emperor In Ancient China, then You will know who is Sù Nǚ (素女) and able to figure out what this Talisman is about.

To a Western Folk, if You have read up Books on Taoist Sex Practices, You will definitely heard of Su-Nu-Jing (素女经).

Who Is Su-Nu (素女)?
Before knowing who is Sù Nǚ (素女), let's understand the 2 Chinese Characters "素" and "女".

素(Sù) means: Plain;Simple; White; Pure ; Vegetarian
女 (Nǚ) means: Female

Therefore, the meaning of Sù Nǚ (素女) is translated into English as - The Plain Jane, Simple Girl .. But ... Ironically, SHE IS THE DIRECT OPPOSITE OF THE MEANING.

Su-Nu is the Sex Goddess who taught Yellow Emperor to have sex with many young girls / women at night and instructed  the special Techniques of Sexual Intercourse that will improve his mental and physical well being. The wisdom is preserved in the Book , known as Su-Nü-Jing (素女经) - The Classic of Su Nu - Art Of The Bedchamber.

NOW LET THE  SPIRITUAL POWER OF GODESS  Sù Nǚ (素女) SHINES ON YOU...

With the spiritual power of Goddess Sù Nǚ (素女) shines on You,  You will increase Your charm 100 times.

Members of Opposite Sex will be attracted to You instantly as they lay their eyes on You for the very 1st time. That guy / girl, whom You like, but never pay attention to You before will suddenly starts to notice You and he/she can't explains why suddenly he/she finds You attractive.

THIS TALISMAN CONTAINS SEXUAL ATTRACTION..

To a Boy or Man, this is like a Key To Sexual Abundance without having to do much work on courting the girls and women. No more spending time reading " How TO Pick Up Girls" , "How To Make Girls and Women Wet" etc.You will be surprise when girls or women start to hint You for SEX.

To mature ladies and older Women, with so many younger guys and men lay their lecherous gaze on You, You will suddenly realize You are Sexually Attractive once again.  Having say this, it is not wise for Young Girls in Asian Culture to carry this "Sexual Attraction" Talisman as Chastity is still very important or at least have to act "Pure" in the eyes of Asian Society.

This 茅山素女符 ( Sù Nǚ Talisman of Mao Shan Sect) is already very powerful by itself. Normally, it often comes together with "Pretty Girls Self-Coming" Talisman and "Social Power" Talisman - The 3 in 1 Attraction Talisman.

Pretty Girls / Beautiful Women Self-Coming Talisman (美人自来符)

Talisman To  Pick Up Girls | Girls Self-Coming Talisman |

Some guys and friends asked:" Are there any Taoist Talismans to Pick Up Girls or Attract Girls?"

The Answer is... YES. Actually it should be called "PRETTY GIRLS PICK YOU UP" TALISMAN.. You will understand why it is named like this  after You finish reading this article.

This "Girls Magnet" Talisman  is considered 'Holy' Version of Taoist Sorcery as it is not forcing any particular girl / woman to fall in love with You. This Talisman is kept close to You to change Your Personal Aura so that You are attracting many girls and women to You naturally.

In  Olden China, this Talisman is actually been kept by the Chinese Males to be GOOD WITH GIRLS/WOMEN. Due to being too Westernized and Modernization of Society, most Chinese Ancient Magic Knowledge are not passed down to new generation.

Modern Folks who believe and have the fate to know about Taoist Sorcery will always have an unfair advantage over the folks in society. There is always a spell or ritual or a talisman to gain advantage or solve any problems that might arise in human folks on earth.

It is very sad case that most people, especially the Chinese already lost touch with the spiritual rituals found in the Wisdom of Ancient Chinese.

Many guys in the West will spend money and time to read books and attend seminars on PICK UP GIRLS and PICK UP WOMEN.

Many Western Guys and Westernized Chinese Guys staying in Western Countries will never heard or get to know about Chinese Sorcery Magical Talisman that can help succeed in the 'Pick Up Girls' Game.

Even most Chinese from South East Asian Countries, who are involved in Taoist Activities in the Chinese Temples also never know this "GIRLS PICK YOU UP" TALISMAN exist.  In Taiwan and Hong Kong , this Talisman is still secretly being kept by the Guys. Guys in China start to get in touch with this "Female Attraction" Talisman once again as the Chinese Ancient Knowledge of Taoist Talismans are being brought back to China again.

In the Secret Books of Taoist Sorcery Talismans, there are several Talismans for the purpose of Attracting Pretty Girls / Beautiful Women.

In fact, it is not a Talisman to help You in Picking Up Girls. It is the other way round! Pretty Girls / Beautiful Women of Your type will somehow suddenly find You super attractive and they want to know You and find their way to approach You.

By keeping a piece of Pretty Girls / Beautiful Girls Self-Coming Talisman, Pretty Girls or Beautiful Women of Your type will MAGICALLY start to surround You or approach You or find their ways to come and get to know You. You don't have to crack Your head about how to approach the girls and women anymore. They will do the work to know You and approach You.

If You're a Guy who wish to know one particular girl or particular woman but don't have the fate to meet her and been cracking Your head on the method to approach her, then by keeping this "Girl Self-Coming" Talisman, the Magical Power of this Talisman will create the fate for her to KNOW YOU and ATTRACTED TO YOU.

If You're a Guy who already has a Girlfriend or Wife, then it is unwise to carry this talisman. Many Pretty Girls/ Beautiful Women will keep coming to You in Your life but it is unfair for Your Girlfriend or Wife.

If You keep this "Pretty Girls / Beautiful Women" Self-Coming Talisman but You don't attend social activities and then You have no luck in meeting Pretty Girls and Beautiful Women, don't blame this Talisman.

If You have guy friends who love to show off or compete with You on Picking Up Girls/Women during Clubbing, then by keeping this Talisman, You turn the table. You will have Pretty Girls or Beautiful Women surround You and approach You and Your guy friends will become jealous and envy of You.

While Your "brothers" are busy trying to PICK UP GIRLS. the GIRLS ARE BUSY PICKING YOU UP.

After attracting many Pretty Girls and Beautiful Women into Your life, if You decide to settle down with a new found girlfriend or marry a woman to become Your wife, all You have to do is to burn the Talisman with some Chinese Joss Papers to thank the Deities and Spiritual Soldiers that are invoked by this Talisman.. Your girlfriend or Wife will still always find You attractive and love You forever after this "Girls Attraction" Talisman is long gone.

So now, You can decide whether  You want to spend money to buy books and  attend seminars on How To Pick Up Girls and Women ? Or do You prefer to just keep a "PRETTY GIRLS ATTRACTION" Talisman and have GIRLS PICKING YOU UP and go Crazy Over You?

Taoist Black Magic Talismans To Separate (Married) Couples

Different Taoist Sorcery Sects have their own version of " Make Couple Separate" Talismans and Rituals.

These "Separate Couple" Talismans used in the Separation Ritual shown above belongs to Yin Shan Sect (阴山派) Sorcery Magic.

This version of  "Separate Couple" Ritual can use to separate MARRIED COUPLES , not just love rivals or 3rd party.

There are total of 6 Talismans to be burnt ( 1 on each night for 6 days) with special secret spell to be chanted while burning each of the "Separation" Talismans.

This "Separation" Magic if is requested or performed by a married person, it is often due to one party want a divorce and the other party does not agree to it. This "Separation" Magic will influence the next party to agree to a  divorce.

Whether Separation Spell is considered Black Magic or White Magic will depend on the reason behind why the spell is casted.

Take 2 examples:

1) If a married person has a new lover outside and wanted a divorce and then requested for or applied the "Separation" Spell on his Husband / Wife , isn't it a self-fish reason and therefore wouldn't  it consider a "Black Magic"?

2) If a married person has been physically abused by Husband /Wife for very long time and divorce seem to be the only option to set oneself free from  physical torture but the next party does not agree to it and therefore this "Separation" Spell is a way to influence the next party to agree for a divorce, isn't it a "Good" Magic?

Marriage Separation is always a complicated issue. To request for or perform "Separation" Ritual, make sure there are appropriate reasons or-else there will be retribution.

In Taoist Black Magic, Deities , Spiritual Soldiers , Demons etc from the Underworld and also the popular "5 ghosts" are invoked to execute the Magic. These spiritual beings will follow exactly what the Taoist Sorcerer requested them to do without bothering the reason behind why the actions should be taken, therefore the results are always fast and immediate.

But... whether retribution is waiting to fall upon You will depend on the reasons why the Magic is performed.

Protection Talisman to protect from Separation Spell

When there is ritual to break up Married Couple or lovers, there will also be a ritual to prevent  oneself from breaking up or from being hit by "Separation" Spell. The "Separation Prevention" Talisman shown  is used in the Prevent Separation Ritual.

Powerful Taoist Nine Syllables and Hand Seals -

Nine Syllables | Kuji |

The Nine Syllables (九字 - Kuji ) most often referred to is of TAOIST ORIGIN. It is a string of nine words used in Taoist Sorcery and Incantations to expel spirits, ghosts, demons, wild animals, poisonous insects and protect from dangers while going into untamed forests and mountains.

Western Kids who are crazy over Japanese Comics and also the Adults who are Ninja-Wannabes have mistaken that "The Nine Syllables" (known as Kuji) is originated either from Japan or Tantric Buddhism.

The Buddhist mudras were added to the spell later. The combined technique was received in Japan from China during the Tang dynasty. It was originally used by the Onmyoji (阴阳师 Yin-Yang Masters) of the Japanese court. But during the Kamakura period, after most of the Department of Yin-Yang (Onmyoryo) was disbanded, the techniques were picked up by Shugendo practitioners (who were originally made up of both Vajrayana Buddhists and former Yin-Yang Masters). Since Shugendo is often considered a form of Buddhism (even though it is no more or less Buddhism than it is Taoism or Shintoism) the Kuji-In are often mistaken as being purely Buddhist, and the mantra as being originally from Sanskrit.

Taoist Nine Syllables were 1st recorded in the ancient Taoist Text - Baopuzi (抱朴子).

Nine Syllables (九字 - Kuji ) is first introduced in the Taoist text Baopuzi (抱朴子) a poem written by Ge Hong c.280-340 ADE). In it he introduces the 九字真言(KUJI) in Chapter 17 titled Deng-She (登涉) ( Climbing Mountains and Crossing Rivers ) as a prayer to the Liu Jia (六甲, Generals of Yang), ancient Taoist gods.

In Daoist Magic, the Liu Jia (六甲) are 6 Spirit Generals (甲子、甲戌、甲申、甲午、甲寅),who are powerful celestial guardians and part of Tammon-Ten's (Vaiśravaṇa), The God of the North, Celestial Thunder Court.

Modern days publishing of the text of Bao-Pu-Zi by different publishers and also information found online have provided slightly different version of Taoist Nine Syllables. The "斗者" and "门者" and also between the "数组"(meaning array) and "阵列"(meaning array) have been used interchangeably by different Taoist Masters and anyway, they share the same meaning.

1st version: of Taoist Nine Syllables:
临兵斗者皆数组前行

2nd version: of Taoist Nine Syllables:
临兵门者皆数组前行

3rd version of Taoist Nine Syllables:
临兵斗者皆阵列前行

4th version of Taoist Nine Syllables:
临兵门者皆阵列前行

The above 4 versions share the same meaning:
"Celestial soldiers/fighters, All arrange yourselves and proceed forward"

How to Use Taoist Nine Syllables?

When You are climbing up a mountain or entering into deep forest or going into the wild, constantly recite this 9 words in Your heart or speak softly and everything will go smoothly. It means no spirits, ghosts, demons, wild animals, poisonous insects will harm You and You are protected from all dangers.

Deng- She /登涉 - Chapter 17 - Line 5:
抱朴子曰:“入名山,以甲子开除日,以五色缯各五寸,悬大石上,所求必得。又曰,入山宜知六甲秘祝。祝曰,临兵斗者,皆数组前行。凡九字,常当密祝之,无所不辟。要道不烦,此之谓也。

Baopuzi said: To enter a mountain (and forest), choose an auspicious day, take silk of five colors, with each of them five inches wide and place it on a large rock and You will succeed in your goal. When entering the mountain, know the Liu-Jia Secret Spell ( meaning Nine Syllables 九字真言, Kuji Verse). It goes: "临兵斗者皆阵列前行" (Lín bīng dòu zhě, jiē shù zǔ qián xíng) - (Celestial soldiers/fighters, All arrange yourselves and proceed forward). Constantly recite this nine words prayer in secret, nothing cannot be avoided. (Protect against Demons, ghosts, spirits, wild animals and dangers etc).

Hand gestures were added to each of the Taoist Nine Syllables and become known as the Nine Hand Seals

Most kids and adults have only seen the Japanese version of Kuji-In due to watching too much  Japanese Cartoons and also the Japanese enter Western Countries to aggressively promote their Japanese Martial Arts to cash in from Western Folks during the early 70s and 80s. The Original Taoist Kuji-In is shown below.

Taoist Sword Nine Hand Seals Ritual (道教剑宗九字真言手诀)

The Original Taoist Kuji is used "临兵斗者皆数组前行" (lín bīng dòu zhě jiē shǔ zǔ qián xíng)

When Taoist Nine Syllables (The spell alone) entered Japan , some words had changed slightly. The "阵列前行" (zhèn liè qián xíng) is changed to "阵列在前" (zhèn liè zài qián).

Original Taoist Verse:
(Lín bīng dòu zhě, jiē shù zǔ qián xíng)

Japanese Verse:
(Simplified Chinese Characters)
Meaning "Celestial soldiers/fighters, all arrange yourselves in front of me" .

(Traditional Chinese Characters)

Korean Verse ( The 10 Syllables):

Sanskrit Mantras are added to the Kuji-In (九字の印) as well.

Kuji-Kiri | Four vertical and five horizontal lines of Qi Men-Dun Jia

Nine Syllable Cuts (Kuji-Kiri , 九字切り) is the practice of making nine cuts - five horizontal and four vertical, alternately in the air with the finger or on paper with a brush .

The Taoist Nine Syllables are combined with "Qi Men - Dun Jia" (奇门遁甲) and become known as Four Vertical Five Horizontal Cuts(奇门四纵五横法). Since ancient time, the Taoists use it to seek safety and to make their wishes come true.

For the Japanese, while performing the action of Nine Syllable Cuts, the syllable Kō (行) is sometimes spoken, which become "临兵斗者皆阵列在前.. 行!". Meaning "Celestial soldiers/fighters, All arrange yourselves in front..  Proceed!"

Adaptability of Taoist Nine Syllables

The usage of Taoist Nine Syllables are a very adaptable ritual to the needs of the individual or organization. Once the overall structure of Taoist Nine Syllables is understood, it can be adopted to fit almost any need.
