THE ANCIENT TAOIST PRINCIPLE OF RECIPROCITY
IF YOU DO ME A FAVOR, I WILL RETURN A GREATER FAVOR TO YOU BUT IF YOU HURT ME, I WILL NOT OFFER THE OTHER CHEEK. IF YOU INSULT ME, I WILL PUNCH YOU; IF YOU PUNCH ME, I WILL BREAK YOUR ARM; IF YOU BREAK MY ARM, I WILL BREAK YOUR LEG; AND IF YOU BREAK MY LEG, I WILL PUT YOU IN A COFFIN

Grand Master of Modern Liu Ren Lineage - Li Chun Feng

Li Chun Feng (李淳风) was a real historical figure recorded in Ancient Chinese History.

Disciples of Modern Liu Ren Lineage (新六壬派) of today worshipped him as the 'Grand Master of Liu Ren'(六壬仙师), especially in Hong Kong.

As for the Ancient Liu Ren Lineage (古六壬派), it was being pass-down by Li Chun Feng's Father - Old Master Li Bo (李播), aka Taoist Priest Huang Guan Zi (黄冠子), to him ( Li Chun Feng (李淳风) ) & Disciple Yuan Tian Gang (袁天罡).

Li Chun Feng's hometown was Shan Xi Province, Feng Xiang County He was a Minister of the founding Tang Dynasty Court. He was born around 604 AD and rose to heaven in 672 AD.

Li Chun Feng is well known till today for his contributions to Astronomy, Mathematics and Meteorology.

Li Chung Feng's father was Li Bo (李播), who was a local magistrate, who later gave up his post to be a Taoist Priest (Priest Huang Guan Zi 黄冠子). Li Chun Feng received his early Taoist education at a young age.

During 633AD, Li Chun-feng (李淳風) had invented a Celestial Globe with three spherical layers to calibrate multiple aspects of astronomical observations.

Li Chun Feng had designed the best augural tool known as Qia-Gua (掐卦). QIAGUA in Chinese means using the fingers to divine the future. In practice, people normally use the left hand. The thumb is used to count the lunar month, day, and time of the day, started from the base segment of the index finger, one after the other clockwise. It worked more than a thousand years among countless Chinese people. From emperors and generals directing battles to ordinary people living their daily life, QIAGUA has provided directions, confidences, and inspirations. In ancient China, the army general would use “QIAGUA” to predict the battle outcome by using his left hand. Once counting stopped, he already knew the battle result.

He had modified and corrected the Lunar Calendar, invented Astronomical equipment and compiled a text on Divination called the Yi Shi Zhan(乙巳占). It is an important text in Chinese Divination and it also includes other important studies on Astronomy and Meteorology.

He was the first person in history who put a scale to indicate wind force from 1 to 8, a thousand years before Francis Beaufort (27 May 1774 – 17 December 1857) who put a scale to indicate wind force up to 12.

Another famous piece of work that he complied with another leading Taoist Priest of that time Yuan Tian Gang(袁天罡) was name Tui bei tu (推背图). It is a Chinese book on prophecies made out of 60 pictures accompanied with a poem deciphering. It's accuracy has been proven many times throughout Chinese History. It has also been widely compared to the works of famous western prophet, Nostradamus (14 or 21 December 1503 – 2 July 1566).

According to historical records, He played an instrumental role in helping remove the tyrant Yang Guang (杨广) of the Sui Dynasty from power and aided the Li family found the Tang Dynasty. He held the post of Chief Astronomer of the Royal Court (In those days its equal the personal adviser of the Emperor as many decisions made in court were based on the movement of the cosmos) He also held many other posts in the Royal court of Tang Dynasty Emperor Li Shi Min(李世民). During his days as a courtier, Li Shi Min consulted him intensely on the matters of the court and nation.

After bidding farewell to his governmental duties, he went into self seclusion and created his own Taoist Sect the Liu Ren Sect. After his passing, his disciples conferred upon him the title of 'Grand Master of Liu Ren' and continued to pass on his teachings till this day in the form of Mediation, Talisman Drawing, Rituals, and Chants with the goal of aiding people in need.

Modern Liu Ren Lineage -

In Ming Dynasty, the Chaotic Period of Mixing Religions and Fighting for gaining the Fame of Religious Leaders, the Folks Groups tend to import Deities & Immortals into their Religions in-order to gain more Followers' Support. Master Jin Ying (金英祖师) was one of them.

After Importing Master Jin Ying into the Group, the Folks Groups claimed that they are the Branch-out of Quan Zhen Sect (叁教全真道) - a Sect that Promotes the Combination of Three Religions' Teaching. From then, most of the Folks Groups used the Reputation of Three Religions to do Promotion of their Culture.

In Late Ming Dynasty (明朝末年), after the Three Religions' Groups started to get more Popular, some Spiritual Teachers started to import the Ancient Liu Ren Sect (古六壬派) into the New Created Liu Ren Sect (新六壬派 which most of the Liu Ren Sect Groups that we can found in Today are from that Period).

And in-order to gain the Supports from the Followers of Master Jin Ying, Master Jin Ying ( was being imported and was made as the Main Spiritual Deity of the Modern Liu Ren Sect.

Take Note:
Ancient Liu Ren Sect does not involved in Mediumship, Summoning of Spirits, Catching of Ghosts, Playing of Sharp-objects, Issuing of Wealth-Talismans or Combining of another forms of Teaching from any other Religions.

Ancient Liu Ren Sect was being pass-down by Old Master Li Bo (李播) aka Taoist Priest Huang Guan Zi (黄冠子) to his son Li Chun Feng (李淳风) & Disciple Yuan Tian Gang (袁天罡).

Only those who still followed the Teaching of Li Chun Feng & Yuan Tian Gang are known as the Official Taoist Liu Ren Students, other then that, the Modern Liu Ren Students' Spiritual Master will be Master Jin Ying (金英祖师) or Master Li Chun Feng (李淳风).

Now, most of the Hong Kong Liu Ren disciples only know abt Li Chun Feng (李淳风) and totally forget about Li Bo (李播) and Yuan Tian Gang  (袁天罡) .  Liu Ren Skills need Yuan Tian Gang's Sets of Liu Ren Knowledge and  combined with Li Chun Feng's Sets of Liu Ren Knowledge, which then can be considered Full Set of Liu Ren Skills.

Origin Of Liu Ren Sect

Origin of the Real Liu Ren Sect - Shang Qing Liu Ren Sect (上清六壬法门) or Old Liu Ren Sect (古六壬派)

Founder of Old (Or Original Liu Ren) Sect - Li Bo (李播)
Three Liu Ren Branches:
Feng Huo Yuan (风火院)
Qun Ying Guan (群英馆)
Fu Ying Guan (伏英馆)

Master Li Bo (李播) aka Priest Huang Guan Zi (黄冠子), born in AD 552 during Sui Dynasty 隋朝), Date of Birth unknown. Hometown in China Shan Xi Province, Feng Xiang County

Since young, Li Bo had been studying Taoist Scriptures, Prediction Methods & Spiritual Skills. At the age of 20 (AD 572), Li Bo decided to leave home to seek for proper Taoist Training. After doing researches & asking, Li Bo finally decided to enroll into Shang Qing Mao Shan Taoist School (上清茅山道宗) to do his training & study.

Upon reaching the Main Ancestral School of Shang Qing Sect, Li Bo was taken in by High Priest Zheng Si Yuan (上清祖师郑思远) as Disciple.

By the age of 32 (AD 584), Li Bo mastered almost all the Taoist Skills that High Priest Zheng had imparted to him. On 15th Day of Lunar 9 Month, High Priest Zheng called upon Li Bo to his Preaching Hall and advised him to go back to his hometown.

Upon hearing that, Li Bo was shocked & sad, assuming that he was being expelled by his Master, but after High Priest Zheng explained to him that, he got other tasks awaiting for him to settle in his hometown. After then, Li Bo finally understand and with some simple packing, Li Bo reluctantly bid farewell to his Master and left Mao Shan.

After leaving Mao Shan, Li Bo didnt go back to his hometown immediately but travelling around to do his Field-study and hoping to gain experiences from his observations. During this period, Li Bo composed quite a number of Poems & Songs and most of his Articles were being pass-down (now in some of the Chinese Museum, his Poems & Songs can still be seen).

AD 588, due to his Articles & Poems getting more popular, Li Bo was being summoned by the Sui Emperor to the Imperial Court. After the meeting up with the Sui Emperor, Li Bo was given a post to assist the Sui Emperor in doing planning & strategies.

On the following year (AD 589), while Li Bo was practising his Spiritual Skills of Observing the Stars, he found out that Sui Empire would be destroyed in another few years and so, he decided to resign from his post. Soon, his resignation was being granted and Li Bo gained back his freedom as a Wandering Priest again.

After he was being released from the Sui Empire, Li Bo began his Travelling again.

By the time he returned to his hometown, Li Bo was already 40 years old (AD 592), by then, his parent had already match-made a Lady for him as the Wife. On the 3rd year of his marriage (AD 595), Li Bo got his 1st son and he chosen a Name, using his Prediction Skills, as Li Chun Luo (李淳洛).

At the age of 45 (AD 597), Li Bo's wife gave birth to the 2nd son and the child was given the name of Li Chun Pu (李淳浦).

In AD 602, just before his 3rd Son was being born, Li Bo got a dream Tai Shang Lao Jun aka The Supreme Lord (太上老君) passing a set of Scriptures to Jiu Tian Xuan Nv aka The Ninth Heaven Maiden (九天玄女) in a Celestial Palace. After Ninth Heaven Maiden got the Scriptures, Li Bo was being asked to step forward to receive the Scriptures. Just as the moment of Li Bo receiving the Scriptures, a strong aroma of Sandal-wood fragrance entered into his nose and he was being woken-up by a Maid telling him that his Wife had given birth to the 3rd Son.

With joyous, Li Bo dashed to his Wife's Room and just as he was about to step into the Room, Li Bo started to smell the fragrance of the Sandal-wood again. This time round, he told himself that, he must had got a Spiritual Child that being given to him by the Heaven.

Upon entering into the Room, Li Bo was delighted to see his 3rd Son being born with a extraordinary face (looking like an Immortal), immediately, Li Bo used his Prediction Skills to choose a name for his 3rd Son and the Child was given the name of Li Chun Feng (李淳风).

After returning to his room, Li Bo was shocked to see a stack of Scriptures being placed on his study table. Upon opening, he was amazed by the cover-page of the Scriptures, cos these Scriptures were those he saw in his dream. After going thru the Scriptures, he realised that ALL the Skills recorded in the Scriptures were known as Liu Ren Skills (六壬法门) and from then, he started his Indepth study on the Scriptures and hoping that one day, he & his descendants could bring pride to the Heavenly's Gift.

In AD 603, Li Bo got another Son which was known as Li Chun Xue (李淳雪). By then, Li Bo was already 51 years old.

AD 620, Li Bo was being summoned by the 1st Emperor of Tang Dynasty - Li Yuan (唐高祖李渊), to the Imperial Court. After the meeting up with Emperor Li Yuan, Li Bo was being appointed as the Officer of Prediction (司天监).

During this Period, Li Bo was being high respect by Li Shi Min (李世民), the 2nd Son of Emperor Li Yuan.

Soon after Li Yuan pass-on, Li Shi Min became the 2nd Emperor of the Tang Empire, by then, Li Bo had reached an age of 75 years old, he decided to return to his hometown and just before Li Bo returned home, he recommended his 3rd Son - Li Chun Feng (李淳风) & his Eldest Disciple - Yuan Tian Gang (袁天罡), to assist Emperor Li Shi Min in the Prediction & Strategies Planning (cos only Li Chun Feng & Yuan Tian Gang were being imparted the full set of Liu Ren Skills).

Upon returning to his hometown, Li Bo started to do his cultivation on the Liu Ren Skills again. Due to he knew that his Lifespan was getting to an end, he decided to impart the reminding Liu Ren Skills to his other 3 sons. And so at the age of 90, he set-up 3 branches for his 3 sons. These 3 branches were Feng Huo Yuan (风火院), Qun Ying Guan (群英馆) & Fu Ying Guan (伏英馆).

After setting up the 3 branches, he wrote a Letter to Li Chun Feng & Yuan Tian Gang to look after these branches, in-order not to let the Disciples of the 3 other sons to fight against each other for the gaining of the Leadership Throne.

At the age of 109, Li Bo got his Immortal-hood and from then, Li Chun Feng & Yuan Tian Gang were being appointed as the 2nd Generation Leadership of Liu Ren Sect.

Important Note: Due to alot of misconceptions mis-leading information, the Actual Teaching of Liu Ren Sect was being distorted and used in an astray-method. Till today, alot of People who are undergoing the Training of Liu Ren Sect still do not know who is the Official Founder of the Sect, which is really a miserable thing to know.

Jin Ying Sect (金英教派)

Brief Introduction to Jing Ying Sect / Kim Eng Pai

Master Jin Ying aka Jin Ying Zu Shi (金英祖师), actual name known as Lin Jin Ying (林金英), born in Ming Dynasty (生于明朝), 24th Day of Lunar 11 Month (农历十一月廿四日). Hometown in China Jiang Su Province, Xu Zhou City Dong Shan County

According to records, on the Day of Jin Ying's Birth, the neighbours saw a Big & Bright-color Eagle flying around in the mid-air above Jin Ying's home. After awhile, Jin Ying was born and at the moment of his born, the House was filled with a Nice Fragrance of Sandal-wood. With the sighting of an Eagle and the smelling of Fragrance, Jin Ying's Parent knew that this Baby was not "Normal" and so, Jin Ying's Father gave the Baby the name of "Jin Ying" - meaning the Golden Eagle (even though the Ying is not the Character for Eagle 鹰).

3 Days after the Birth of Jin Ying, a Taoist Priest arrived at the House of Jin Ying. Due to Mrs Lin was doing her confinement, so that Mr Lin had to attend to the arrival of the Priest. After entering in the House, Jin Ying started to cry out loud. Upon hearing the crying, the Priest knodded his head and request Mr Lin whether he could take a look at the Baby.

Mr Lin was more than happy to bring the Baby out and after a look at Jin Ying, the Priest recited a Poem. Upon the completion of the recitation, Jin Ying stopped crying and stare at the Priest and out of sudden, Jin Ying called out 2 words - Shi Fu (师父), meaning Master.

Mr Lin was shocked and with immediate action, he kneeled down infront of the Priest and asked why Jin Ying was able to speak, which he was only born 3 Days again.

Upon hearing that, the Priest sincerely asked Mr Lin to stand-up and told him, Jin Ying was actually an Immortal who vowed to return back to the Mortal Realm to perform his Cultivation Tasks. After checking on the Credits & Merits of the Lin Family, Jin Ying decided to get his Manifestation in the Lin Family.

Hearing that, Mr Lin was delighted and faithfully requested the Priest to accept Jin Ying as the Disciple in-order to assist him in accomplished the Cultivation Task. The Priest smiled and accepted the request. From then, the Priest stayed in the House to impart the Taoist Skills to Jin Ying.

At the age of 3 Years Old, Jin Ying was able to chant & recite most of the Taoist Scriptures & Mantras.

By the age of 5, with the Recommendation of the Priest, Jin Ying went to Hokkien Province Nan An City (南安市) to seek other Spiritual Skills from another Taoist Priest. Upon reaching, Jin Ying's Master made a depart with him and advised him that, soon they were meet again in another Special Venue. Knowing that his Master was going to leave him, Jin Ying felt very upset and started to cry infront of the Priest. Just before the Tears roll down, his Master told him, as a Taoist, you shall only Cried for the Sufferings, Cried for the Needy, not to cry for such Issues. As a Taoist, Compassionate shall be dedicated to the Big Group and not to Ownself.

After getting the Lecturing, Jin Ying reluntantly made 3 Kowtows to the Priest and with a gust of Fume, the Priest ascended into the Air and just as Jin Ying was about to call out to his Master, the Priest asked Jin Ying to remember his Taoist Title - Bi Xu Shang Jing Tai Yi Zhen Ren

Immediately after Jin Ying departed with his Master, the other Priest came forward to lead Jin Ying to the Cultivation Venue. Soon, Jin Ying started his other Cultivation in Nan An City.

At the age of 7, the Nan An Priest told Jin Ying that he had completed whatever he needed to learn and its time for him to return back to his hometown. Upon hearing that, Jin Ying was happy and again upset due to the departure. Before Jin Ying set-off for his journey, the Nan An Priest passed Jin Ying a Waist-bag with 12 Talismans (十二道符) and advised him to use the 1st Piece after he returned back. Jin Ying was about to ask why, but with a gust of Fume, the Nan An Priest disappeared infront of him. With no choices, Jin Ying had to leave the place with Doubts.

Within a Month, Jin Ying reached his hometown in Jiang Su Province, but to his horror, the Village that he stay-in was seriously infected with Strange-sickness. With no hesitation, Jin Ying took out the Talisman that his 2nd Master gave him and burnt it.

Soon after the Burning of the Talisman, the Cloud above him turned Dark and within moments, Thunder Roar and Rain started to pour. As the Rain was pouring, a strong Fragrance of Herbs was being emitted from the Rain and the Fragrance started to flow around the whole Village.

About 15 Minutes (一刻钟), the Rain stopped and just at the same moment, All the Villagers were cured and able to walk out from their Home to the Street. Knowing that the Villagers were cured by the Talisman, Jin Ying kneel-down and made his Kowtows to the Heaven and sincerely Thanks his 2 Masters.

At the age of 8, in the Morning of 5th Day of Lunar 3 Month (得道日为农历叁月初五日), a Golden Brightness was shined onto the Roof-top of Jin Ying's House. After a while, the Villagers saw Jin Ying slowly ascended into the Air thru the Golden Brightness. Just as the moment when Jin Ying's Parent ran out from the House, Jin Ying made a smile and waved to his Parent and the other Villagers, telling them that he had to return to the Celestial Palace (天庭) to meet up with his Masters.

Due to Jin Ying ever saved the Villagers's Life, they were happy and upset for Jin Ying to leave them at such a Young Age. Within moments, Jin Ying disappeared in the Air and only left a Red-light Spot above the Village.

From then, the Villagers built Temple dedicated to Jin Ying. Till today, in Jiang Su Province & Nan An City, you are still able to see Temples dedicated to Master Jin Ying.

Because of the age when Master Jin Ying got his Enlightenment, most of the Statues that the Taoists or Chinese dedicated to him are in Young-boy form. And due to the appearance, alot of Folks tend to mistaken him as Na Zha (哪咤), the Son of Pagoda King Li Jing (托塔天王李靖).

In Taoist Lv Shan Sect (道教闾山派), Master Jin Ying is also known as Xue Shang Sheng Zhe (雪山圣者).

In Qing Dynasty (清朝年间), a Hakka Clan Priest (广东博罗县罗浮山客籍道士) known as Lin Xian Jiang (林显江) used the Name of Master Jin Ying to set up Jin Ying Sect (金英教). From then, Jin Ying Sect was being pass-down till today. Due to Priest Lin Xian Jiang was a Priest who mastered Talisman Skills from the various Taoist & Spiritual Groups, after he founded Jin Ying Sect, he merged most of the Talisman Skills into One, which was known as Jin Ying Spiritual Skill.

3) Wearing Du Dou (肚兜) or Prince-Robe (太子袍)

Cos in some Records, Buddha does owe a Eagle above his Seat. And in Folks Culture, Tang San Zang (唐叁藏) was known as the Re-incarnation of the Golden Cicada (金蝉), the Folks tend to pair these Master Jin Ying & Tang San Zang together, telling People that they are Dharma-mates under Buddha.

2) In Ming Dynasty, the Chaotic Period of Mixing Religions and Fighting for gaining the Fame of Religious Leaders, the Folks Groups tend to import Deities & Immortals into their Religions in-order to gain more Followers' Support. Master Jin Ying was one of them.

3) In Late Ming Dynasty (明朝末年), after the Three Religions' Groups started to get more Popular, some Spiritual Teachers started to import the Ancient Liu Ren Sect (古六壬派) into the New Created Liu Ren Sect (新六壬派 which most of the Liu Ren Sect Groups that we can found in Today are from that Period).

And in-order to gain the Supports from the Followers of Master Jin Ying, Master Jin Ying was being imported and was made as the Main Spiritual Deity of the Modern Liu Ren Sect.

Note:
Ancient Liu Ren Sect does not involved in Mediumship, Summoning of Spirits, Catching of Ghosts, Playing of Sharp-objects, Issuing of Wealth-Talismans or Combining of another forms of Teaching from any other Religions.

Ancient Liu Ren Sect was being pass-down by Old Master Li Bo (李播) aka Taoist Priest Huang Guan Zi (黄冠子) to his son Li Chun Feng (李淳风) & Disciple Yuan Tian Gang (袁天罡).

Only those who still followed the Teaching of Li Chun Feng & Yuan Tian Gang are known as the Official Taoist Liu Ren Students, other then that, the Modern Liu Ren Students' Spiritual Master will be Master Jin Ying or Master Li Chun Feng.
